Looks like Miley’s Breakout CD is an absolute HIT - what do you think?

The tween queen’s new, non-Hannah album, Breakout, broke onto the charts at No. 1, selling 371,000 copies for the week ended Sunday, according to Nielsen SoundScan data released today.

Her two previous studio releases, both Miley-Hannah combo jobs, also topped the Billboard 200. But Breakout is an official solo release (she cowrote eight of the 13 cuts). It also represents her best sales week, topping last summer’s Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus by 45,000, and the second-best week for a female artist this year.

Miley Cyrus says there’s no way she’s going to be locking lips with Katy Perry at this Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards.

The 23-year-old “I Kissed a Girl” hitmaker recently said in an interview that she was hoping to snag a same-sex smooch onstage with the 15-year-old Cyrus in the spirit of the infamous Madonna-Britney Spears kiss.

“No thanks,” the Hannah Montana star told me yesterday with a laugh. “She sang on my record. So I think she’s kind of getting back at me, because she was doing harmonies and backgrounds.”

Meow!

Cyrus has been on a nonstop promotional campaign to support her new hit album, Breakout, and her upcoming gig as the host of Teen Choice.

Yep, that’s right! The lovely and talented Taylor Swift has filmed a cameo role in Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Due out in 2009, the 18-year-old Taylor Swift joins plays herself and sings one of her own songs in the Hannah Montana movie.

She joins the likes of other cameos made by the group Rascal Flatts and Bucky Covington from Idol. Disney’s Lyric Street Records represent each of the cameo acts as well Go Taylor!

Wow! Can you believe this? We can’t if it’s indeed true…

According to a report from this week’s Star Magazine, Tish grounded the 15-year-old Hannah Montana sensation in May - and has even forbidden her to use her computer! “Miley is getting too big for her britches and had to be taken down a notch,” says a friend of the family spilled to the weekly entertainment magazine. “And Tish is the only person capable of doing it!
Miley was involved in a huge scandal earlier when underwear pictures were posted online of the Disney starlet. The racy photos scandal left the teen sensation’s image bruised and battered….

RIDGETOP, Tenn. - The cameras are rolling in Robertson County.

Filming for the new “Hannah Montana” movie continued Monday north of Nashville.

Reporter Phil Jones had a great view over the lights, cameras and action in NewsChannel 5’s news helicopter Sky 5.

Scenes were shot at Smiley Hollow, a special events facility in Ridgetop, which is about 20 miles north of downtown Nashville.

Smiley Hollow was transformed into a giant carnival for some scenes and a musical number featuring teen pop singer and actress Miley Cyrus.

Filming is expected to take two weeks. About 500 movie extras were on hand to help shoot the movie Monday and 2,500 movie extras are expected at Tuesday.

Due to hit the stores on July 22nd, Miley’s first solo Album, Breakout, looks to be a hit for sure! Even though she is shedding some of her Hannah Montana fame in the this release, it looks to be superb! We sure can’t wait to hear the album, how about you?
